If you previously opted out of Ting’s older low-temperature notifications, that preference carries over automatically. To make changes to your notification preferences, head to “Settings” in the menu bar of your Ting app and ensure alerts are enabled under “Communications”.
Otherwise, there’s no need to adjust any settings. Ting will only send a frozen pipe alert when it detects a meaningful risk. If you ever get an alert that doesn’t apply (for example, your sensor is in an unheated space), just open the Ting app and from the alert on the home screen, choose ‘Dismiss Alert’ and ‘This doesn’t apply to me.’ We’ll note that feedback and update your preferences.
