During Installation
You’ll be prompted to enter a Location Name for your sensor.
Make sure each sensor has a unique name so you can easily identify it later.
Examples:
- Garage
- Basement
- Guest House
After Installation
You can update a sensor’s location name at any time in the Ting app:
- Open the Ting app
- Tap the menu icon (three lines in the upper-left corner)
- Select Settings
- Scroll to the sensor you want to rename
- Tap the gear icon next to that sensor
- Enter the new name you’d like displayed in the app and weekly emails
- Scroll down and tap Save and Continue
