If Ting detects an electrical fire hazard, the Ting Fire Safety Team will contact you to coordinate a plan to identify the problem and mitigate the risk. Depending on the characteristics of the electrical fire hazard detected, an electrician may be needed to repair the hazard.
The following concierge services are INCLUDED as part of your Ting Service, which we've designed to be easy, provide you peace of mind, and ensure you're never on your own.
(1) If identified as an electrical fire hazard (EFH) inside your home:
- Notification via the Ting Sensor app and separate outreach to you via email, phone, and/or text. Your sensor LED light may also alternate blinking from red to green.
- Instructions from a Ting Fire Safety expert
- ONLY IF professional remediation is needed:
- Coordination with you for onsite professional remediation. NOTE: Not all hazards require professional remediation; we don't arrange onsite visits without your permission.
- Live, remote moderation by the Ting Fire Safety team of onsite professional remediation
- $1,000 lifetime credit towards labor cost of professional remediation
(2) If identified as a utility fire hazard (UFH) outside your home:
- Notification via the Ting Sensor app and separate outreach to you via email, phone, and/or text. Your sensor LED light may also alternate blinking from red to green.
